Requirements
The QA Lead / Business Analyst serves as a bridge between the quality assurance (QA) team and business stakeholders, ensuring that software solutions meet both technical and business requirements. This role requires a combination of analytical skills, domain knowledge, and expertise in quality assurance practices. The QA Lead/Business Analyst is responsible for defining testing strategies, identifying business needs, and facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for software projects.
- Translate business needs into clear and concise user stories, use cases, and functional specifications.
- Ensure that requirements are documented accurately and are aligned with project objectives.
- Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements and user stories.
- Define testing strategies and methodologies, considering factors such as risk assessment, resource allocation, and project timelines.
- Coordinate with QA team members to ensure comprehensive test coverage and effective test execution.
- Lead and oversee the execution of test cases and test scenarios, ensuring that software solutions meet quality standards and functional requirements.
- Identify and document defects, track defect resolution progress, and verify fixes to ensure software integrity.
- Generate test reports and metrics to provide stakeholders with visibility into testing progress, defect trends, and overall quality status.
- Analyze business processes and workflows to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.
- Recommend solutions and enhancements to address business challenges and improve operational effectiveness.

- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and QA teams, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment on project goals and priorities.
- Conduct stakeholder meetings, workshops, and presentations to gather feedback, provide updates, and address concerns.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and customer-centric approach to software development and quality assurance.
- Analyze existing business data and process to come up with recommendations on quality and improvement.
- Generate data quality reports as per business requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to QA team members, business analysts, and other project stakeholders on best practices related to QA processes, tools, and techniques.
- Conduct training sessions and knowledge sharing sessions to promote continuous learning and skill development within the organization.
Additional Needs:
- The candidate will be expected to be able to support a variety of responsibilities as listed below. The exact nature of work to be performed will vary from project to project.
- Knowledge of Reltio MDM is a Plus.
- Must be willing to work various US time zones with willingness to engage with teams from India at other hours of the day.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States with no visa sponsorship requirements.
- Must be open to travel up to 25% as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in quality assurance, business analysis, or a related role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in QA methodologies, testing tools, and business analysis techniques.
- Certification in quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB) or business analysis (e.g., CBAP) is a plus.
